The Fall Rhasody Hike in Gatineau Park

What a special time of the year this is – the vibrant autumn colours provide us with a bit of warmth and stunning backdrops to beautiful sites.

Each year, Gatineau park, which is a 15-minute drive from Parliament Hill in Ottawa, attracts thousands of people, whether for a full moon hike in the midst of winter or a colourful autumn hike. This park is definitely a natural haven and a paradise for photographers.

The city provides free shuttle buses which make for easy access to the annual “Fall Rhapsody” weekends (Sept. 29 to Oct. 21, 2018). You can ditch your car and hop on one of the shuttle buses that take you all the way to Camp Fortune in Gatineau for breathtaking views and hikes. Pack some snacks, find a chalet shelter during your hike to warm up and continue being awed by the golden pathways.

If you missed it this year then make sure you check it out next year!

Here is a glimpse of the magic we were able to capture.
