New Delhi Adventure

I wrote this post at Ottawa’s International Airport, overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that I finally get to join my husband on his work trip to India, for his last remaining four weeks and after two weeks of being apart. We survived – thankful to social media that keeps us connected with your loved ones abroad! 🙂

As I boarded the airplane, I left with this thought on mind of India, by Keith Bellows: “There are some parts of the world that, once visited, get into your heart and won’t go. For me, India is such a place. When I first visited, I was stunned by the richness of the land, by its lush beauty and exotic architecture, by its ability to overload the senses with the pure, concentrated intensity of its colors, smells, tastes, and sounds. It was as if all my life I had been seeing the world in black and white and, when brought face-to-face with India, experienced everything re-rendered in brilliant technicolor.” And hope that I too find beauty in the chaos, the overwhelming colours, smells, culture and history.

I can’t wait to see my husband and add this once in a lifetime experience to our book of memories.

Stay tuned for stories and photos that I hope will inspire you to travel and see India yourself! Namaste.. 🙂
