A Day Trip to Monaco

If you’re visiting the French Rivera then it’s worth stopping in the world’s wealthiest state, Monaco. It was never on my bucket list but it is conveniently located near Nice in the South of France, 15 minutes by train. Nice happens to be one of my favourite places on earth but it definitely deserves a separate post.

This was our second time in Monaco. We loved it, because it’s unlike any other place. A glamorous place for the rich, famous and the ordinary people-watching tourists like us. With its breathtaking views from Monaco Ville hilltop, overlooking the port filled with yachts and beautiful palm trees. The Saint Nicholas Cathedral – where Grace Kelly wedded, magazine picture perfect patios, charming historic alleyways and colourful luxury cars in every other corner.

It’s a place where you indulge in fantasy and daydreaming.

In addition to your things to-do in Monaco,  here are my two tips:

  • Beach day at VilleFranche sur mer: start your day early and stop by this magical turquoise seaside.
  • Le Cafe de Paris Monte Carlo: The most popular place for rendezvous in Monaco and right across the Monte Carlo Casino, grab lunch followed by espresso and enjoy people watching.

Your pictures look so beautiful! I had a friend that did her masters in Monaco and I also heard amazing things.
